Wedding Reception Place Cards

Place cards may be a small detail but the success of the reception depends on getting the seating right! If you are having a medium or large sized wedding, you definitely want to consider place cards for the reception. There will be too many guests for general mingling, and having the groups pre-organized will hopefully prevent any awkward moments or anyone feeling left out. It also provides you with the opportunity to gather those most dear to you and help them get to know each other. And it’s not unknown for a hostess to use place cards to even do a little subtle matchmaking! 

But without question, place cards just help to keep things well organized and the reception celebration flowing smoothly. The place card also gives you an opportunity to subtly emphasize your wedding colors. For example, let’s say you’re having your wedding at a church but you are limited to how much you can bring your orange and cream decorations in to redo the space. The answer? Print your place cards on a cream card with a little orange jewel or bow and bring the ceremony and the reception together – your place cards serve to tie together both the look and feel of the event.
